Today winterized fruit bushes
Southern Ontario yunno
Have been lax for quite awhile
Forgot them a year ago
I hadn’t planned to do it either
But a strange thing happened
I thought about the bees today
And noticed tension lessened
Just now my wife went out
Her weekly Tia Chi session
Gotta get supper over with
And noticed lesser tension
You’ve been on at me for years
That’s Our Creator coming through
So can the human doing stuff
Let Jenna’s bees now mentor you
Our partnership needs other folk
To help you reach higher, deeper
Through Jenna, bees and Revery
Behold, I AM Your new Be Keeper
BE KEEPER
Perhaps this poem is another step forward to blossom what The Creator has been aiming at for six years. I went to see Father Andrew Miller at HeartSync in Tallahassee, the week in December 6th, 2015, a year after I had retired. While with Father Miller, the Lord was very specific, He said ‘I like the book idea, but you are a human doing not a human being, when you learn to BE, then we can do the DOING together’. So this poem was huge, Thanks to Jenna Butler and her book. Revery – A year of Bees.
The Red Thread Poets website was a huge step of faith last year, and so much better as it not all about me. Will my poems get into book form – we’ll see. The Lord drives their writing as I try to follow and to understand what I am being shown.

About Jenna’s book:
Revery A year of Bees:
I am rocked by the all-encompassing view Jenna has of the integrated world we live in, how the planet, us humans, and all God’s creatures and creations impact each other, and rub off on each other. This book will wake you up, stir you up, excite you, and motivate you, I have a new commitment for the vegetable and flower garden, but even bigger for The Creator, and being in Their presence.
About this book – from the book:
“In this delicate yet powerful book Jenna Butler shares her journey into beekeeping on her small northern farm. With glowing descriptions Butler captures the beauty of her surroundings and the wonder of working with these complex creatures within their hives, charting the progress of both throughout the year. But this is also a book of difficult truths, of climate change and species loss and personal grief, all of which Butler faces with honesty. This mixture of wonder and grief and perseverance is a potent one and Revery is a book that many will reach for as they consider their own reckoning with our changing environment.”
