Migration’s Shame:
They huddled around fires
As the cold winds blew
The cries of the children
And the tears of their mothers
Mingled in the rain
The world looked on
Paralysed by greed
Knowing only its need
Afraid of some loss
From those who have nothing
But God sees
And His Heart bleeds
Oh how it bleeds
For the lost and broken
For the families torn
Their fear He knows
Their torment He hears
But the world doesn’t notice
God whispering
“Someday I will repay”
